Northwestern scores first TD since Oct. 5 thanks to 79-yard TD run by WR Kyric McGowan
Hallelujah.
It’s happened! Northwestern scored a touchdown!
We’re not bashing the Wildcats, by the way. This is an accomplishment.

Northwestern hadn’t scored a touchdown since Oct. 5, but on its first drive against Purdue, Wildcats wide receiver Kyric McGowan lined up at running back and took the hand-off 79 yards to the house. His speed and elusiveness was on full display here:

The way McGowan ran and read the hole, maybe he’ll factor in as a running back going forward? Before that carry, he had taken 11 carries for 31 yards.
Northwestern-Purdue is airing on BTN.
