Northwestern football freshman offensive lineman Dylan Senda announced Thursday that he will be entering the transfer portal.

Senda is the 5th Northwestern player to transfer from the program following the firing of former head coach Pat Fitzgerald after an investigation uncovered hazing practices that were sexually abusing in nature, among other toxic findings within the program.

Senda was also Northwestern’s first commitment in the Class of 2023, committing to Fitzgerald in December of 2021.

He wrote the following on social media Thursday:

Senda stands at 6-5, 300 pounds and chose the Wildcats over a host of impressive offers including Michigan, Iowa, Michigan State and Penn State. He was expected to earn snaps on the offensive line this season.

He is the 4th freshman to enter the portal since Fitzgerald’s firing.
