Northwestern's Joe Spivak nominated for prestigious 2020 Wuerffel Trophy
Northwestern defensive lineman/fullback has been officially nominated for the 2020 Wuerffel Trophy.

The trophy is also known as “College Football’s Premier Award for Community Service” as per the official website. It honors college players who serve others and celebrate their great impact on society as well.
Nominations for this award are made by each university’s sports information department.
The semifinalists for the award will be announced on November 29 and then the finalists will be announced on December 8. After that, the formal announcement of the award winner will be made during the week of December 26-January 2.
Spivak has done well this season on defense already as he has five total tackles (three solo). His career-high in tackles came last season when he had eight total tackles (two solo) and was credited for half a sack.
