Northwestern found itself in a big hole early, but the Wildcat offense is starting to get back into the game.

This is not the first time Pat Fitzgerald’s squad has fallen behind early on. The Wildcats also let Iowa race out to a quick lead before waking up and putting on a comeback effort in a win.

The big difference is that Iowa team beat Michigan State soundly, the same Spartan squad that raced out to a 17-0 lead on Saturday. After hitting a field to make it 3-0, quarterback Peyton Ramsey faced a third down with the offense.

On the play, Ramsey was quick to get the ball out of his hands, dropping in a beautiful back-should throw by the sideline. It was in the direction of Kyric McGowan with McGowan making a great move back to the ball while falling down.

Northwestern would use that conversion to go down and kick another field goal, making it 17-6, Spartans. Can the Wildcats keep the comeback going?
