Pat Fitzgerald, Bryce Gallagher praise Nebraska's offense, host of playmakers ahead of Week 0
Pat Fitzgerald got to speak on how his defense while matchup with the Nebraska offense in a recent interview. He was quick to praise the group that the Cornhuskers have on offense.
The Northwestern HC noted how Nebraska has managed to use the transfer portal this offseason. However, he mentioned how much of a challenge it’s going to be for his defense to the Cornhusker offense down.
Fitzgerald also took time to highlight Nebraska’s linebackers and the growth of the defensive line and secondary for the Huskers.
Fitz on Nebraska standouts: “They’ve added some impressive players and that’s been a huge challenge for our defense,” he says on having to track down the Huskers’ transfers tapes from their previous schools and OC Mark Whipple’s schemes.

Fitz says he “loves the way” Nebraska’s linebackers play. He also praised the Huskers’ defensive line and secondary.

Speaking of linebackers, Bryce Gallagher also got to speak at the podium. He believes that in order for Northwestern to win this game, they will need to show up and execute while trusting the coaching.
“I think it’s a tremendous challenge, but we just have to trust our coaching,” said Gallagher. “They got great players. We know they’re gonna be a great offense.”

Gallagher says Nebraska has “playmakers all over the field,” mentioning Casey Thompson has a great arm and the LB core needs to show up and execute.
