Pat Fitzgerald gives injury updates, is 'one million percent' confident Northwestern will be 'back'
Northwestern has struggled this season. Even the Wildcats would tell you that.
Last year, Northwestern convincingly won the Big Ten West division and made the B1G Championship. This year, nobody was quite sure what to expect.
But nobody expected a six-game losing streak. Nobody expected an 0-6 start in Big Ten play.

Again, Northwestern is aware of its struggles. Pat Fitzgerald said as much on Monday when talking with the media, but also talked about how things at practice and away from the field have gone well:
He continued: "There's obviously a disconnect there (between practice and game execution), and I think it comes down to trust between our players."

"Off the field, as a program, everything is rocking as great as it ever has. On the field, we are missing that consistency…we will be back there. I promise you that. I'm one million percent confident in that."

Fitzgerald also talked about numerous injuries:
At his Monday press conference, @coachfitz51 announces that DB Greg Newsome & DL Samdup Miller will miss the rest of the 2019 season due to injuries suffered Saturday in Bloomington. #B1GCats

Fitz on injuries: "You know, the next guy's gotta step up. Obviously, we've failed at that as coaches. The backups haven't been ready."

Fitzgerald also talked about getting Northwestern back to where it was just a season ago:
Fitz is "one million percent" confident the #B1GCats will be back.
"I’ve got a track record of success here. Kicking ass and taking names. We’ll get back to that."
