Pat Fitzgerald recognizes his team’s standing, so it seems.

Northwestern has been one of the worst teams in the Big Ten this season, and on Saturday it will duke it out with one of the other worst teams in the conference, Iowa.

The game isn’t what most would call exciting football, as both teams struggle on offense. Saturday’s game will likely be low scoring and a little slow. For what it’s worth, Northwestern and Iowa’s O/U opened at 31.5, the lowest in history.

Because of the less-than-exciting football expected to be played on Saturday, Fitzgerald joked that he requested for the game to be played at 6 a.m. on Saturday, rather than the prime-time slot of 3:30 p.m. that it is set to be played at.

Fitzgerald won’t get his wish, however, and fans will get to enjoy the battle-of-the-bottom on Saturday afternoon.
