Pat Fitzgerald has a tendency to get fired up on Saturday afternoons. And when an official missed a clear defensive holding call on one of his receivers, the Northwestern head coach let him hear about it.

Fitzgerald’s animated response came in the second quarter of a 7-3 contest against Wisconsin, in which the Wildcats were on the wrong end. After the play came to an end, Fitzgerald raced down the sideline looking for an official to tear into.

Below is the video of Fitzgerald going off on one of the referees in Madison.

Wisconsin was a heavy favorite coming into the game, but Northwestern has gone toe to toe with the Badgers in the first half. In such a tight game where yards are hard to come by, every play is important.

Fitzgerald really wanted that whistle. It may have cost the Wildcats a chance to put more points on the board before the half.
