Pat Fitzgerald isn't voting for Clinton or Trump in the election
Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton aren’t exactly All-Star candidates to run the United States of America. At least that’s the perception from a lot of folks around the country if you followed social media all through the Presidential Debates.
Neither of those two candidates are as qualified as a Northwestern wide receiver. At least according to Pat Fitzgerald.
After Saturday’s 24-14 win over Indiana, Fitzgerald was asked about the transformation of Austin Carr this season. The head coach responded with an interesting comment:
Fitz on Austin Carr: “Austin is a self-made young man…I’m voting for him for President.” #B1GCats

Carr had another spectacular performance this week against the Hoosiers, catching seven passes for 125 yards and a TD. He currently leads the B1G in receiving with 50 catches for 720 yards and nine TDs. He’s also often praised for once being a walk-on who worked to earn a scholarship on Northwestern’s roster.
Maybe Carr will catch some votes in this year’s election via write-in ballots.
