Northwestern had quite the 2018 season, going from 1-3 overall to making the Big Ten Championship.

Sure, the Wildcats lost to Ohio State, but, the Buckeyes only suffered one loss all season. They were pretty good.

Northwestern finished 8-5 going into its bowl game — the Holiday Bowl — against Utah and took care of business. Despite the 20-3 deficit at halftime, the Wildcats scored 28 points in the third quarter to turn the tide of the game and eventually secure the win.

Rumors were floating around before the game that Northwestern’s Pat Fitzgerald was a potential candidate for the head coaching vacancy regarding the Green Bay Packers. Fitzgerald was asked about it after the game and gave a pretty definitive response:

People have hidden the truth before. However, this doesn’t seem like one of those cases.
