The Northwestern Wildcats hosted the Illinois Fighting Illini at Wrigley Field back in 2010 — a game that used only one end zone.

The Wildcats haven’t played there since, but they’ll make their return to the home of the Chicago Cubs in a couple of years, according to a report from the Chicago Tribune.

The report states that Northwestern will host Big Ten rival Wisconsin at Wrigley Field on Nov. 7, 2020:

Northwestern has chosen its Nov. 7, 2020, game against Wisconsin for its return to Wrigley Field, the Tribune has learned.

The Cubs and NU officials are expected to make it public during a Tuesday news conference at Wrigley Field. The Cubs host the Phillies that night.

This matchup will be different, as the report states that two end zones will be used, though it’s unclear how the configuration of the field will be changed.

Still, this should be an exciting matchup between a pair of B1G rivals, and if it goes well, Wrigley Field games could become more common for the Wildcats.
