Pat Fitzgerald was up early on the first day of the early signing period to drop the mic on America, writing, “Signed, sealed and delivered by 8 am CT.” meaning every one of Northwestern’s targets had signed, and that the B1G Cats had a game to get ready for.

According to the Wildcats team page at 247 Sports all 14 of their verbal commits had indeed signed with the school. The class is currently ranked 11th in the Big Ten and 55th overall.

Fitzgerald’s team has bounced back well from an atrocious 3-9 season last year to go 6-1 this year, with big upsets over Wisconsin and Iowa along the way. The Cats are playing Ohio State Saturday in the Big Ten Championship from Indianapolis, the game Fitzy mentioned in his tweet. It is their second trip in three seasons under the leadership of their former All-American linebacker, an unprecedented run of success for the little private school up in Evanston.

The championship kicks off Noon ET and will be broadcast nationally on FOX.
