Snubbed? Northwestern's Brandon Joseph reacts to PFF graphic about best DB in CFB
Whether they intended to or not, it looks like the folks at Pro Football Focus have added some fuel to the fire of Brandon Joseph heading into the 2021 season.
Saturday morning, PFF put out a graphic with the question “Who will be the best DB in CFB next season?” While one would think Joseph has an elite resumé that stacks up against the best in the country, he did not make it onto PFF’s graphic.
Joseph noticed and responded:

Joseph’s body of work during the 2020 season definitely speaks volumes. Despite getting to play in just nine games, Joseph tied for the national lead in interceptions with six. Georgia Southern’s Derrick Canteen, the other player with six, appeared in 13 games. In addition to his picks, Joseph also finished fourth on Northwestern’s defense with 46 total tackles.
Considering his output, and the fact that Joseph can go up and grab interceptions like this one off of Justin Fields, Joseph can definitely make a case for best DB in the nation. Now, it will be interesting to see if he can replicate that performance in 2021.
