Trevor Siemian is reportedly adding another NFL team to his tally. This time, he’s expected to come back to Illinois via a deal with the Chicago Bears.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Siemian is signing a two-year deal with the Bears in free agency. That deal is expected to be worth $4 million with a chance to earn up to $5 million with incentives.

The plan appears to be for Siemian to serve as the backup QB to Justin Fields in Chicago. Mike Garafolo with the NFL Network has reported the Bears are trying to trade Nick Foles which would make Fields and Siemian the QBs on the roster if a deal for Foles is found.

During the 2021 season, Siemian made 6 appearances (4 starts) for the New Orleans Saints. He has also seen regular-season action with the Denver Broncos and New York Jets since entering the NFL.
