Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald had to relay some bad news following the team’s 33-7 loss to Michigan on Saturday. Two key contributors are out for the year.
WR Bryce Kirtz and LB Khalid Jones will both be sidelined for the remainder of the season. Fitzgerald confirmed they both sustained non-contact injuries.

Kirtz has 19 catches for 203 yards on 10.7 yards per reception for Northwestern. He has 25 receptions for 270 yards on 10.8 yards per reception for his career.
Jones has played in 1 game this season, making 3 tackles. For his career, he has only played in 2 games and only has 6 tackles.
Northwestern returns home next week to take on B1G West opponent Minnesota at 3:30 ET on BTN.
