The first half didn’t exactly go as planned for No. 21 Northwestern.

No. 6 Ohio State pretty much had its way the first 30 minutes of the contest, taking a 24-7 lead into halftime. But, the Wildcats received the second half kick.

Within just two minutes of receiving the ball, the scored turned to 24-14.

Here’s why:

Northwestern QB Clayton Thorson decided to use his legs on this one, and apparently, made the right decision. Often times when thinking of Thorson, we think of his arm and his toughness.

What gets overlooked are his legs.

It’s likely that going forward, Ohio State won’t take his feet for granted.
