One of the benefits of playing in a bowl game is getting the opportunity to take in some of the sites and experiences that surround the different cities. Many players get once-in-a-lifetime experiences that they might not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy.

With Northwestern traveling to San Diego to play Utah in the Holiday Bowl, the Wildcats had the chance to take a tour of the USS Roosevelt Nimitz-class aircraft carrier. And it was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

The USS Roosevelt Nimitz is the fourth Nimitz-class aircraft carrier. It was launched in 1984 and saw first action in Operation Desert Storm in 1991.

Video of players touring the aircraft carrier and explaining the experience was captured below.
