What Pat Fitzgerald said after Northwestern's disappointing loss to Wisconsin
Northwestern fell to No. 18 Wisconsin today 35-7, and they are officially out of bowl eligibility, falling to 3-7 and 1-6 in B1G play.
Northwestern has now lost 3 straight games. The Wildcats are just a year removed from winning the B1G West and playing in Indy for the B1G title game.
Head coach Pat Fitzgerald spoke to the media today after the loss to the Badgers.
Fitz talked about not playing complementary football.
“Did not play complementary football today. We lost one on one battles, missed tackles, and that was disappointing,” Fitz in his opening statement.

Fitz talked about the turnovers that the Wildcats suffered today and why they made a change at the QB position.
“Obviously the turnovers [by Marty] were costly which put our defense in a tough spot… we got to take care of the ball at the quarterback spot,” Fitz on Hilinski replacing Marty.

Fitz talked about the lack of fundamentals.
