What Pat Fitzgerald said at Wednesday press conference
Northwestern will look to build off the momentum from last season’s B1G West title as they head into the 2021 campaign.
Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald addressed the media on Aug. 25 as the team gears up to host Michigan State in the primetime season opener on Sept. 3 (9 p.m. EST/ESPN).
Fitzgerald touched on a variety of topics, including his opinion on the B1G’s alliance with the ACC and Pac-12, his thoughts on the new receivers, and an interesting analogy about the defense.
Here’s a sampling of what Fitzgerald said in his press conference.
Fitz starts off by comparing the defense to being on the on-deck circle in baseball with replicating noise in practice and that noise translating to games.
