The Big Ten is home to two of the top five returning offensive tackles in the country, according to Pro Football Focus.

Both Ohio State’s Thayer Munford and Northwestern’s Peter Skoronski made the cut:

Munford is a no-brainer. He could have been a Day 1 or Day 2 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but opted instead to return to Ohio State for another season.

In 2020, Munford was a First Team All-Big Ten selection by both the coaches and the media. He earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors in 2019 and has started 26 consecutive games for the Buckeyes.

Despite being a true freshman, Skoronski emerged as one of Northwestern’s best players last season. He was named Second Team All-Big Ten for his effort, and helped lead the Wildcats to Big Ten West title.

Skoronski is currently on track to be a top pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Skoronski was the No. 113 overall player in the class of 2020.
