A couple of Ohio State targets for 2023 made some major leaps in the most current 247Sports’ Top247.

Defensive lineman Derrick LeBlanc is up 61 spots to No. 21, while linebacker Troy Bowles climbed 66 spots to No. 31.

The 6-foot-4, 250-pound LeBlanc is rated by 247Sports as the No. 5 defensive lineman in the nation and the No. 21 overall prospect. During his sophomore season, LeBlanc tallied 67 tackles and 15 sacks.

LeBlanc took an unofficial visit to Ohio State at the end of July. He also visited campus in June.

Bowles is the son of NFL coach Todd Bowles and is the brother of Rutgers defensive back Todd Bowles Jr. Bowles is regarded by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 1 linebacker and the nation’s 31st best prospect. Bowles has amassed 168 tackles, nine sacks and four interceptions so far in his high school career. There’s currently no Crystal Ball projection for Bowles.

Bowles visited Columbus in June.

Ohio State kicks off the 2021 season on Sept. 2 with a primetime matchup at Minnesota (8 p.m./FOX).
