Ohio State managed to convince a 4-star CB prospect to change who he was committed to on Thursday. Calvin Simpson-Hunt from Waxahachie Texas is now a Buckeyes commit.
Simpson-Hunt was originally committed to Texas Tech up until about Thursday afternoon. He then announced that he had re-opened his recruiting before announcing that he had committed to Ohio State about an hour later. He is a listed as a 4-star CB per the 247Sports Composite. Simpson-Hunt is the No. 22 CB and No. 30 recruit from Texas out of the 2023 class.

Ohio State now has the No. 1 2023 classes overall, and in the B1G following Simpson-Hunt’s commitment.
