The nation’s top-ranked tight end has included Ohio State in his Top 8.
Luke Hasz, the country’s No. 1 tight end in the 2023 recruiting class, revealed the eight schools he’s still considering over the weekend. Ohio State was the only B1G program in the mix and is competing with Oklahoma, Texas, TCU, Arkansas, Alabama, Oklahoma State and LSU for his pledge.
Hasz has a 4-star ranking from 247Sports and is listed as the No. 40 prospect in the class. The Bixby native is also considered the top overall player out of Oklahoma.

During the 2020 season, Hasz played multiple positions on the field. In addition to tight end, he also lined up at wide receiver and was a defensive end on the other side of the ball. Hasz was credited with 703 yards and 9 touchdowns on 32 catches for the year.
Hasz is also a basketball player.
At 6-foot-3, 220 pounds, Hasz brings good size to the tight end position. He also has a unique skills et that would allow him to be competitive at an elite level on the collegiate stage.
Though Ohio State is in the mix for several highly-ranked prospects in the 2023 class, the Buckeyes have yet to receive a verbal commitment.
