3rd-year DB for Ohio State enters transfer portal, per report
It is that time of the year in college football where players are entering the NCAA Transfer Portal to search for a better opportunity for a great collegiate career. On Saturday morning, Ohio State redshirt sophomore linebacker Craig Young reportedly entered his name in the transfer portal.

Young came to Ohio State as a three-star recruit in the 2019 National Recruiting Class, according to 247Sports Composite. He was rated as the 34th best athlete and the 11th best player from the state of Indiana in the 2019 class.

In the 2019 and 2020 seasons, Young accumulated 9 total tackles in 4 games. This season, Young accumulated 14 total tackles, 5 solo tackles, and 2 interceptions with one of them returned for a touchdown.
His reps have been increasing throughout his career, but Young looks to make an immediate impact at another program. The defense for Ohio State has not been up to standards this season as they shifted defensive coordinators during the season. Ohio State’s defense ranks 27th in the nation in points per game (20.9).
