Ohio State added another four-star prospect to its 2018 recruiting class on Thursday night.

During the Under Armour All-America Game on Thursday, Tyreke Smith made the announcement that he would be committing to Ohio State over Penn State, Alabama, USC, Georgia and others. He is considered to be one of the top defensive ends in the class.

Smith is ranked as the No. 4 weak-side defensive end in the 2018 class and is the No. 3 player out of Ohio. Overall, he’s ranked No. 60.

Smith raked in 38 offers during his recruitment but ultimately decided to stay with the home-state Buckeyes rather than venture to another program. According to 247Sports, he had been leading toward Ohio State.

With the commitment, Ohio State’s 2018 class has grown to 22 total commitments and still ranks first in the B1G and second nationally, behind only Georgia. The Buckeyes had 21 players sign their National Letter of Intent during the early signing period.
