There will be no last-second surprises from Ohio State commit Carson Hinzman. The 4-star offensive lineman out of Wisconsin is staying true to his pledge and has signed with the Buckeyes.
Hinzman committed to Ohio State in early January and was expected to sign with the program during National Signing Day. With the Buckeyes changing offensive line coaches — parting ways with Greg Studrawa and bringing in Justin Frye — there was some thought that the Wisconsin native might change his mind.
That wasn’t the case. Instead, Hinzman stayed true to his word and will begin his college career in Columbus. He’s officially a member of a Buckeyes class that, once again, sits atop the B1G.

Hinzman is listed as a 6-foot-4, 280-pound offensive lineman. He’s earned a 4-star status and is considered one of the Top 200 overall players in the 2022 recruiting class.
Immediately, Hinzman will add depth to Ohio State’s offensive line.
Along with the offer from Ohio State, Hinzman received interest from top-tier programs like Alabama, Iowa, Notre Dame, Miami, Michigan, LSU, Wisconsin and several others.
