Ohio State has bolstered its 2022 recruiting class with another big-time commitment.

Friday afternoon, the Buckeyes picked up a verbal pledge from 4-star offensive tackle George Fitzpatrick. The Colorado native is ranked as a Top 300 prospect of the cycle, per 247Sports Composite.

The nation’s No. 27 ranked offensive tackle in 2022 class picked Ohio State over offers from 28 other programs. Other big-time programs to extend and offer include Oklahoma, Oregon, Michigan, Florida, Auburn, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Penn State, Tennessee and Texas, among others.

Fitzpatrick is listed at 6-foot-6, 285 pounds and is ranked as the No. 292 overall prospect in the cycle. He’s the No. 2 player out of Colorado, as well.

Ohio State already owned the nation’s top-ranked recruiting class, so the addition of Fitzpatrick only separates the Buckeyes from the field further. He is the 17th player of the cycle to give his pledge and the 15th prospect with a 4- or 5-star rating to verbally commit.
