Four-star quarterback Emory Jones didn’t sign with Ohio State after all.
On Wednesday, Jones announced that he would be attending the University of Florida, where he would play for head coach Dan Mullen. The news wasn’t too shocking as most believed the talented quarterback was deciding between the Gators and Florida State.
Jones had been committed to Ohio State for more than a year.

Jones is a Georgia native and is ranked as one of the top 50 prospects in the 2018 class. He’s been tabbed as the fourth-best dual-threat quarterback and ranks No. 7 out of Georgia.
He held 22 offers, including three from B1G programs.
Though Ohio State had time to anticipate Jones’ decommitment and eventual flip to Florida, Urban Meyer and the coaching staff probably aren’t too pleased that they let a highly-regarded quarterback slip through their fingers.
Even without Jones in the class, the Buckeyes have the top ranked recruiting class nationally, as of Wednesday.
