A 4-star linebacker from Texas is still considering Ohio State among his potential landing spots. Derion Gullette released his Top 7 earlier this week.

Gullette is including Ohio State, Miami, Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Alabama and Florida among the top destinations for his commitment. The skilled linebacker narrowed his list down from 28 offers on the recruiting front.

A Marlin, Texas native, Gullette had an outstanding 2021 season at the high school level, playing on both sides of the football. Defensively, he piled up an impressive 125 stops with 3 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and 2 interceptions.

On the offensive side, Gullette was responsible for 62 catches for 1,430 yards and 14 touchdowns. His versatility and athleticism has made him such a priority for many programs on the recruiting front.

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker ranks as the No. 360 overall prospect in the 2023 class. He’s also a Top 60 player overall from the state of Texas.

Ohio State currently owns the nation’s No. 4 recruiting class for 2023.
