One of the top cornerbacks in the 2022 recruiting class and an Ohio State commit will be putting his skills on display in the 2022 Polynesian Bowl.

Tuesday, it was announced that 5-star defensive back Jaheim Singletary has been named a 2022 Polynesian Bowl All-Star. He has accepted the invitation to play in the game, which is scheduled for January 2022. Per 247Sports, he’s the first player from the state of Florida to accept the invite for the 2022 game.

Singletary is a 6-foot-1, 170-pound cornerback who ranks as the No. 5 player at his position but is listed as the No. 10 prospect in the country. The Jacksonville native is also the No. 2 prospect out of Florida.

Nearly 30 schools extended an offer to Singletary, but Ohio  State received his commitment back in January. He’s a member of a Buckeyes 2022 class that currently sits at No. 1 nationally in 247Sports’ recruiting rankings.

Over the course of his high school career, Singletary has been credited with 20 pass break-ups and 10 interceptions, as well as a pick-six.
