Justin Fields and Garrett Wilson have not connected in any games in their college football careers, but it could one day be the most lethal combination in college sports. And we’re getting a sneak peek in fall camp.
During Ohio State’s fall camp, Fields delivered a perfect strike to Wilson deep down the field. It’s the type of pass and catch we’ll likely see out of Columbus for a few years.
Colin Hass-Hill of Eleven Warriors captured the connection, posting the video on Twitter:
Justin Fields hits Garrett Wilson with a deep ball. Don’t imagine this is the last time we see that. pic.twitter.com/o9k6z3537w

Buckeye fans won’t get tired of that. And they’ll especially like it when it starts happening on Saturdays come late August.
Fields and Wilson are both former five-star prospects and have incredibly high ceilings. In a high-powered, spread offense, the two could form one of the best quarterback-receiver tandems in college football. It may not happen this year, but within the next two seasons.
This is just a glimpse into the future for the Buckeyes.
