Noland did not make any appearances for the College Football Playoff-bound Buckeyes, but figures to be highly sought-after in the transfer portal. His commitment to Ohio State was a significant recruiting win for Ryan Day and his staff.

Out of Fairburn (Georgia) Langston Hughes High School, Noland was one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2024 recruiting class. On the 247Sports Composite, Noland was rated 4-stars, the No. 4 QB, No. 8 player in the state of Georgia and No. 56 prospect overall nationally in the Class of 2024.

As one would expect with a top QB prospect, Noland attracted scholarship offers from coast to coast. Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Miami, Ole Miss, Oregon and Texas A&M were among the schools to show interest. Ultimately, Noland signed with Ohio State over 34 other scholarship offers.

Noland’s entry to the portal, though, does not come as a complete surprise.

Noland signed with Ohio State on Dec. 20, 2023. In January 2024, Nick Saban retired, allowing Alabama players and signed enrollees to enter the transfer portal. Julian Sayin, the Composite’s 5-star No. 1 QB for 2024, elected to transfer to Ohio State on Jan. 21. The Buckeyes’ 2025 recruiting includes Tavien St. Clair, rated 5-stars and the No. 3 QB of the 2025 class on the Composite.
