A 2nd Ohio State player had his black stripe removed at fall camp on Tuesday. He is a LB that recently transferred in from Arizona State back in January.
DeaMounte “Chip” Trayanum is the most recent Ohio State player to lose his black stripe. He spent the last 2 season with the Sun Devils, and has 3 years of NCAA eligibility left. Trayanum was a former 4-star recruit out of Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron, Ohio per the 247Sports Composite.
He actually started his college career at RB, but has since switched back to his high school position of LB following his move to Columbus. He joins Jyaire Brown as the other Buckeye to get his black stripe removed on Tuesday.
This is what he had to say about it:
“First of all man, I just want to thank everybody in the Buckeye organization,” said Trayanum. “Just welcoming me back home, man. It’s great to be a Buckeye. My brothers, my regulators, my coaches, and my teammates get me better everyday. Go Bucks.”
