As No. 1 Alabama and No. 3 Ohio State head into the national title game this Monday night, the Crimson Tide defense will be working on dealing with Buckeyes quarterback Justin Fields.

Fields had an amazing game against Clemson, throwing for six touchdowns, showing off accuracy and arm strength all over the field. He also displayed poise and toughness, playing most of the game after taking a nasty hit to his side.

For Alabama linebacker Dylan Moses, dealing with Fields draws some comparisons to a former national champion quarterback, and prior NFL most valuable player Cam Newton.

Moses made the comparison on Thursday when the Alabama players met with the press.

Newton was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft and was the NFL MVP in 2015, and while most look to the quarterback position for passing prowess, Newton was an exceptional runner at the position, just like Fields.

Moses is fairly solid against the run most of the time, but Fields and the Buckeyes offense can look to take advantage of using the tight ends to clear him out, with his exceptional passing accuracy. Should Moses not continue in coverage, opportunities for Fields and the OSU receiving corps can come up behind him up the seams.

Ohio State and Alabama will take the field on Monday, Jan. 11 in Miami Gardens, Florida. Kickoff is set for 8:00PM.
