The first half has gotten out of hand for Ohio State, but a bigger cause for concern in the second half could be the growing injury list of the Buckeyes.

Things started on a sour note for Ryan Day’s squad with Trey Sermon getting injured almost immediately to start the game. His season is over with ESPN reporting he was taken to the hospital for further evaluation on an injury to the left collarbone or shoulder area.

In the second quarter, Ohio State’s offensive line took a hit with Wyatt Davis getting dinged up and needing to be helped off the field just before halftime. Nothing has been updated yet, but Davis appeared to be grabbing his knee as he remained down on the field for a long time before walking off with help.

Hopefully Davis is not seriously injured. The redshirt junior is a key member of the Ohio State offense and is a big prospect for the NFL.
