Even though the Alabama Crimson Tide are basically a lock to make the College Football Playoff, Ohio State is nearing that same category.

On ESPN’s Playoff Predictor, the Buckeyes are given a 78% chance to reach the CFP, which are the second-best odds of any team:

Even with Ohio State coming off another canceled game, (this time against Illinois), the predictor thinks very highly of them.

The Buckeyes only have games against Michigan State and Michigan left (which are two very beatable teams). Assuming they win those two, they’d be the heavy favorites in the Big Ten Championship game against whoever wins the West division (likely Northwestern).

Wisconsin is another Big Ten team in the predictor but they have the lowest odds of every other team on there at 4%.

With only a few weeks left in this college football season, there’s going to have to be some major upsets to get some of these other programs in the top four.
