The Baltimore Ravens are reportedly hosting free agent running back Kenyan Drake on Tuesday, and it remains to be seen what the status of former Ohio State star JK Dobbins will be for the season opener.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Ravens are hosting Drake for a workout on Tuesday and are “likely” to sign the former Miami Dolphin if the workout goes well. It would lead to an immediate opportunity for Drake to play right out of the gate.
As for Dobbins, head coach John Harbaugh said he would simply view Dobbins’ availability as a great thing if he can play. If Dobbins is unavailable to go, Drake would give the Ravens some depth with Gus Edwards already on the PUP list and out for at least 4 weeks.
Gus Edwards is on PUP and will miss four weeks. As for JK Dobbins, #Ravens coach John Harbaugh said about Week 1: “If JK can go, I look at it now, it would be great. If not, we’ve got the guys that’ll play.”

Both Dobbins and Edwards sustained season-ending knee injuries leading up to the 2021 season.
