Basketball season over for Ohio State PG, head coach Chris Holtmann confirms
The college basketball season has been cut short for one Ohio State point guard.
Buckeyes head coach Chris Holtmann announced on Wednesday that senior point guard Jimmy Sotos will be out for the remainder of the season. He will undergo shoulder surgery which will keep him on the sideline for the remainder of the year.

It’s unclear whether or not Sotos, a senior, will be returning to the team for the 2021-22 season. He transferred to Ohio State from Bucknell and played in 12 games this season, including 2 starts. He’s averaging 1.7 points, 1.1 assists and 0.8 rebounds per game.
Ohio State is currently 14-4 on the season and will take on Iowa on Thursday.
Sotos transferred to Ohio State after averaging 11.5 points and 3.9 assists per game at Bucknell during the 2019-20 season. He provided the Buckeyes with quality depth at the guard position.
