After the Week 2 injury to starting quarterback Andy Dalton, Fields got to prove his worth on the field to head coach Matt Nagy. Unfortunately, Fields struggled while going 6-for-13 passing with 60 yards and an interception but did just enough to secure the win. However, many still believe the time is now to let Fields grow and learn moving forward.
On Monday, Nagy was asked if Dalton is healthy, is he the starting quarterback over Fields. Nagy responded that is he not going to share the information out due to schemes and clarified that it is a 100% scheme. Nagy believes that the opposing teams will be more prepared to stop Chicago’s offense, no matter who is at quarterback. Nagy has said that Dalton gives the Bears a better chance to win as the starter.

Reporter “That’s not scheme”
MN: “Of course it is, that’s 100% scheme.”

The Bears are currently 1-1 and are preparing to face the Cleveland Browns (1-1). This game against Cleveland will be a game that will require several standout performances from their best offensive player. With Dalton under center, the Bears are more than likely going to stall than find ways to exploit Cleveland’s talent defense.
