When his career is over, Ben Roethlisberger will likely be headed to the Hall of Fame. He’s been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and has played against the most-talented passers in the league.

So when the longtime leader of the Pittsburgh Steelers is saying that Dwayne Haskins is impressing him, that’s of significance.

According to Joe Rutter of TribLive.com, Roethlisberger has been impressed by what Haskins has brought to Pittsburgh as a new member of the organization. The Steelers signed the former Ohio State QB after he was released by the Washington Football Team.

Roethlisberger said Haskins’ mechanics and throwing motion “are some of the prettiest I’ve seen,” and also commented that he could “throw the ball through a car wash and it wouldn’t get wet.”

Haskins was selected in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, taken No. 15 overall by Washington. He spent just two seasons with the franchise, making appearances in 16 games and making 13 starts. He has thrown for 2,804 yards with 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions while completing 60.1% of his passes.

Things didn’t go quite as well as Haskins had planned in Washington, but Pittsburgh was quick to give the ex-Buckeye a second chance. It sounds like he’s doing pretty well so far with the new franchise.
