Big plays by true freshmen TreVeyon Henderson, Denzel Burke stake Ohio State to early 14-point lead vs. Rutgers
It took just 3 and a half minutes for Ohio State to open up a double-digit lead on the road against Rutgers.
Early in the first quarter, it was true freshman running back TreVeyon Henderson that opened up the scoring in New Jersey. He ripped off a 44-yard run that went for a touchdown, going untouched the whole way as the Buckeyes set up a beautiful running lane.

On Rutgers’ ensuing drive, it was the defense and true freshman Denzel Burke that came up with the second touchdown of the afternoon. He intercepted an errant pass and returned it 23 yards for a pick-six and the 14-point lead for Ohio State.
It goes down as Burke’s first interception and first touchdown, though he entered the game with 6 passes defended:
