Another black stripe alert was announced out of Ohio State’s training camp on Monday! Though the quarterback situation is not yet resolved, a 5-star freshman was the latest player to join the ranks of official Buckeye.
The player is Brandon Inniss, a 5-star wide receiver out of American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Inniss was a summer enrollee for the Buckeyes but officially shed his stripe on Monday.
“First of all, I want to thank God. If it wasn’t for Him I would not be standing here today,” said Inniss. “I wanna appreciate everybody for welcoming me into the Brotherhood. Shout out Coach Hart, Coach Devin (for) getting me right, adding to my toolbox. Appreciate Zone 6.”

Inniss is also wearing No. 11, a number most recently donned by Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Though Smith-Njigba was injured much of last season, he previously had a record-setting season in 2021 and is now off to the NFL.
Ohio State maintains some of the best Big Ten Championship odds entering the season, and a lot of that has to do with the potential for an elite offense this fall. Interested parties can get in on all the action via our DraftKings Ohio promo code.
As for Inniss, he joined Ohio State as the 35th player in the country and the No. 5 WR per the 247 Sports Composite. His path to early playing time is a difficult one with a loaded room of elite talent in Columbus, but Inniss will try to find ways to contribute this fall.
