Boom! Buckeyes get pledge from 4-star WR to bolster top-ranked 2022 class
Another high-profile recruit in the 2022 class has verbally committed to Ohio State.
Sunday morning, the Buckeyes received a pledge from 4-star wide receiver Kyion Grayes. He’s the 11th player in the 2022 recruiting cycle to give a verbal commitment to Ryan Day and his staff. Ohio State already owned the B1G’s top-ranked recruiting class even prior to the pledge.
Grayes made his announcement with a post on Twitter. He’s the ninth player ranked in the Top 150 to commit to Ohio State.

Grayes is a 6-foot-1, 170-pound receiver out of Chandler, Arizona. He ranks as the No. 2 player from his home state and is the No. 17 prospect at his position, per 247Sports. Overall, Grayes ranks No. 127, earning him a 4-star rating.
In addition to Ohio State, Grayes received offers from 16 other programs. He chose the Buckeyes over Arizona, Oregon, Penn State, Arizona State, Auburn, Miami, Nebraska, Tennessee, Texas, USC and Utah, among others.
From 247Sports recruiting analyst Blair Angulo:
Well-rounded pass-catcher with a knack for getting open. Fluid route runner who sets up defenders to generate space. Instinctive and creative in possession. Shows great body control after the catch. Good burst off the line of scrimmage. Very good hands and coordinated catcher who can reel in the ball away from his body.
With Grayes’ pledge, the Buckeyes are putting plenty of distance between themselves and the rest of the B1G on the recruiting trail. Ohio State is looking to land the conference’s top-ranked recruiting class once again.
Below are some highlights of Grayes at the high school level.
