Brice Sensabaugh earns high praise from Purdue's Matt Painter following solid showing against Boilermakers
Brice Sensabaugh had a solid game against Purdue. Purdue coach Matt Painter praised the young Ohio State G after the final buzzer had sounded.
Sensabaugh ended the night with 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist. Unfortunately for Ohio State, the Buckeyes could not get the job done and lost 71-69 in Columbus. Sensabaugh actually outscored some of Purdue’s top players like Zach Edey (16), Braden Smith (16), Fletcher Loyer (10), and Ethan Morton (10).
Painter stated that Senasbaugh is very skilled despite only being a true freshman.

Ohio State is now 10-4 on the year after the loss, while Purdue moves to 14-1 with the two-point victory. Besides Sensabaugh, the only other Ohio State player to score more than 10 points was Justice Sueing with 15. Sueing also had 4 rebounds and 2 assists.
One of the things that hurts about the loss is that Ohio State shot the ball better than Purdue in the long run. The Buckeyes made 50% of their shots compared to the Boilermakers 43.1%.
Sensabaugh and Ohio State will have to move on and focus on the upcoming matchup with Maryland this Sunday. The Terps come into the game on a two-game losing streak after back-to-back losses to Michigan and Rutgers.
Tipoff will be at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN.
