Shaw played in 13 games, including 12 starts, last season, recording 59 tackles, 3 pass breakups and an interception. Shaw stepped into a starting role after Josh Proctor’s injury.
As a recruit, Shaw was a 3-star prospect out of The Bullis School in Maryland. He picked up 11 scholarship offers, including Maryland, Penn State, Wisconsin and Rutgers. Alex Grinch and Larry Johnson led OSU’s recruitment of Shaw, who verbally pledged to the Buckeyes on April 28, 2018.
Shaw reunites with Grinch, who is now the defensive coordinator at USC.
