BTN analyst Jake Butt has provided his list of the top 30 players in the B1G this season. After counting all the way down, Butt revealed his No. 1 player in the league Wednesday afternoon.

That player is none other than Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. Not only is Harrison Butt’s top player in the B1G, the analyst also sees the Buckeye star as the top prospect in college football.

“This should come as no surprise to anyone because he’s the best prospect in college football, and the best player at any position is Marvin Harrison Jr.,” said Butt.

In his analysis, Butt pointed to Harrison’s total package as a receiver, including his rangy frame, elite hands and ability to set up his routes in a variety of ways.

“You can start with his size at a measured 6-foot-4 with long arms, he has an infinite catch radius. Whoever the QB is, throw it in the vicinity, he has the long arms and the sticky hands to come down with it,” Butt explained. “He has the speed to beat you over the top, but he also has the patience, savvy and feel to know how to set up his routes. There’s an art to route-running, it’s not always a track meet.”

In terms of an NFL comparison, Butt went with AJ Green, a player with over 10,000 career receiving yards known for highlight reel catches. However, Harrison possesses the ability to transcend comparisons per Butt.
