As if Ohio State’s 2021 recruiting class wasn’t good enough, there’s a chance the Buckeyes could be adding at least one more five-star prospect to the mix.
This week, Ohio State made the top four for Emeka Egbuka, a five-star wide receiver out of Steilacoom, Washington. According to 247Sports’ Composite rankings, Egbuka is ranked as the nation’s best receiver in the 2021 class. Along with the Buckeyes, he included Oklahoma, Clemson and Washington on the list.
Egbuka is a two-sport athlete at the high school level, playing football and baseball. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound receiver does just about everything on the gridiron, putting up some big numbers during his junior season.

He also had 12 carries for 48 yards and five scores on the ground. On the defensive side of the ball, Egbuka totaled 36 tackles, eight interceptions, three pick-sixes and three tackles for loss
During the first three years of his career at the high school level, Egbuka has accounted for 70 total touchdowns, amassed over 4,000 all-purpose yards, recorded 74 tackles and intercepted 17 passes.
Egbuka is a physical receiver who can turn short passes into big gains and also has the ability to stretch the field on the deep ball. He has great speed and does a great job adjusting to the football in the air.
