Cade Stover developed into a dynamic piece of Ohio State’s offense last fall after beginning his career as a linebacker. Now, he has a shot to boost his stock for the 2024 NFL Draft in one final season for the Buckeyes.

Jim Nagy — Executive Director of the Senior Bowl — provided an analysis of Stover Monday morning while calling the tight end “an ass-kicker.” Nagy went on to highlight Stover’s strength at the point of attack and blue-collar toughness as a blocker.

In his assessment, Nagy did not rule out a team being “open-minded enough” to lean into Stover’s possibility as a two-way player in the NFL and said that special teams coaches around the league will love him. Nagy also believes Stover is “a viable receiving threat” to go with his strength as a blocker.

Needless to say, Stover is certainly a player to watch on the field this fall. Here’s Nagy’s full assessment of Stover:

Last season, Stover finished third on the Buckeyes with 36 catches to go with 406 yards and 5 touchdowns. If he can come close to repeating those numbers with a new QB, Stover’s name would surely be on the radar for a number of NFL teams entering the 2024 Draft cycle.
