Cardale Jones, Desmond Howard exchange barbs on social media over Heisman ceremony
Cardale Jones and Desmond Howard exchanged social media shots following the reveal of the Heisman Trophy finalists on Monday night.
Those finalists included four quarterbacks with Ohio State’s CJ Stroud, TCU’s Max Duggan, Georgia’s Stetson Bennett and USC’s Caleb Williams nominated. The interaction between Jones and Howard started with Howard asking for thoughts on the field of finalists.
Jones chimed in, telling Howard to keep his “slick ass comments” while on stage to let the young men enjoy the moment. Fans likely remember Howard took a shot at the Buckeyes and Stroud while on stage with Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson during last season’s ceremony.
Just keep them slick ass comments to yourself up on stage and let these well deserving young men enjoy one of the biggest, prestigious moments a collegiate athlete can have. Congrats and good luck to all 4 finalists. #CJForHeisman https://t.co/8cSMAt505d
