Cardale Jones’ streak ends at thirteen.

On Sunday, the former Ohio State quarterback suffered his first loss as a starting quarterback since his high school days, as the DC Defenders suffered a 39-9 loss to the Los Angeles Wildcats in Week 3 action in the XFL. Jones is now 13-1 as a starting quarterback, dating back to his 11-0 record with the Buckeyes.

It was a rough outing for Jones, who completing just 13-of-26 pass attempts for 103 yards. He threw four interceptions in the game with no touchdown tosses in the loss. He also had six carries for 19 yards.

Jones had been playing really well through the first two games of the season. In the opener, Jones threw for 235 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for an additional 28 yards in a 31-19 win over Seattle. The following week, Jones tossed his first interception, but still had two touchdown passes and added 264 yards through the air in a 27-0 victory over New York.

But, all good things must come to an end. It was a great run for Jones, and his record as a starter is still outstanding. We’ll see if he can start another streak moving forward.
